Going through bankruptcy is a position that no one ever wants to be in and I have been there myself. One of the struggles I had when going through the process was determining what my average monthly income is in order to determine which chapter of bankruptcy I could file. I was not able to find easy answers to this question and the math involved felt overwhelming. I made this simple calculator to help take some of the guess work out of figuring it out. It may not be perfect but it should allow you to get a better idea of your options.
